“I have a story. It’s hard, it’s gnarly but what I’m doing with it - that’s the work.”- Sophia Roe
This week, I’m bringing back one of my favorite episodes with chef and storyteller Sophia Roe! Sophia’s wisdom, humor and excitement for life are all so refreshing and a joy to witness. Her experience growing up with a mother who suffered from substance abuse, learning to love and embrace her brown skin, and ultimately becoming a chef determined to make food more accessible and enjoyable for all is truly remarkable. Tune in to hear us talk about the correlation between skin and food, curly hair (which she just cut off by the way!), her stint at MILK Makeup, and the lack of diversity within the wellness industry.
